Volunteer Spanish Course & Cultural Immersion Program in Honduras

At our school Spanish is taught on a on one on basis focusing in conversation practice, grammar, reading and the vocabulary of your interest. We work on a weekly basis, 4 hours per day from Monday through Friday. We are prepared to handle beginners, intermediate and advanced students. The first day of classes, after the orientation session, students take a proficiency test to assure correct placement. You also fill out a form called Individual Needs Assessments in which you specify the areas of grammar you want to focus in and the vocabulary of your needs (e.g. If you are a medical student or a doctor, teacher will focus part of the time in medical terms and how to deal with patients). In the afternoons there are daily activities. Workshops to clear out doubts with the teachers or outgoings to the market, parks, etc, to interact with the locals.

We offer transfer college credits from US universities (information upon request).

We offer students to live with a local Spanish speaking family while attending school. Families are located walking distance from school. Private room and 3 meals per day are provided  (vegetarians welcome). Our host families are upper middle class people that are willing to help you with the language at all time and they include you in their normal activities (going to the supermarket, to the beach in the weekends, walking around town, etc.). If student wants to alternate lodging arrangements can be made through a local hotel.
