Volunteer in Sri Lanka - a beautiful tiny tear drop shaped island in Indian Ocean. This beautiful country has been colonized in the past by the Dutch , Portuguese and the British and attained independence in 1948. The country is making continuous economic progress and has been recovering from the devastation caused by Tsunami in 2004 as well as the tensions in the north eastern part of the country in the past.
Volunteering Solutions offers a wide variety of projects in partnership with local organizations. Our projects are recommended for volunteer travelers in Sri Lanka , high school and college students, families volunteering together or for those on a Gap year or Career break.
Volunteers can choose to work with Sri Lankan Elephants in an Elephant Camp, Teach to young Buddhist Monks, Work in an Orphanage, Teach in a school, volunteer in a Women's shelter , volunteer in a Hospital or in a Turtle project along the coast.
Our volunteer projects are based mainly in and around the cities of Kandy and Galle apart from the Elephant Camp project which is located in Kaegalle and Turtle project located in Ambalagonda.
