Volunteer in Sri Lanka
Volunteer in Sri Lanka - a beautiful tiny tear drop shaped island in Indian Ocean. This beautiful country has been colonized in the past by the Dutch , Portuguese and the British and attained independence in 1948.
The country is making continuous economic progress and has been recovering from the devastation caused by Tsunami in 2004 as well as the tensions in the north eastern part of the country in the past.
Volunteering Solutions offers a wide variety of Volunteer Programs in Sri Lanka in partnership with local organizations. Our projects are recommended for volunteer travelers in Sri Lanka , high school and college students, families volunteering together or for those on a Gap year or Career break.
Volunteers can choose to do Volunteer work with Sri Lankan Elephants in an Elephant Camp, Teach to young Buddhist Monks, Work in an Orphanage or Teach in a school.
Our volunteer programs are based mainly in and around the city of Galle in Southern Sri Lanka apart from the Elephant Camp project which is located in Kegalle, 2 hours from the capital city of Colombo.
Volunteering in Sri Lanka will bring you face to face with the local communities of the country with whom you will interact on a daily basis. The Sri Lankan people are friendly, hospitable and welcome volunteers from abroad.
