Volunteer work at an Orphanage in India - A large number of poor and disadvantaged
orphan children without homes are given refuge in orphanages and shelter homes being run by various non government organizations throughout India.
These are distressed children who come from difficult circumstances that detach them from the joys of childhood. These orphans require love, care, affection warmth and education. Volunteers working in our ‘Help The Orphans’ program in India will provide support to the underprivileged and uncared for children to alleviate their suffering by helping them live a dignified life . We do this by supporting the work of local community organizations in India through the placement of international volunteers
to work and help in an Orphanage.
Orphans are deprived of many opportunities necessary for their development. Volunteers can help them fill this void in their lives by assisting the staff in the orphanage in organizing educational tours ,playing indoor and outdoor games ,teaching them English ,giving them basic computer knowledge and educate the young kids in a play way method. Volunteers can give tips to the kids about personal hygiene and help them in keeping their premises spic and span. They also help the children with their homework and prepare them for school.
Your little help at an orphanage can be of great significance for these children, helping to make their present secure and future promising. Spend time with them. Receive their warmth and affection. Tell them stories. Share their dreams. Working in an orphanage is a truly fulfilling and enriching experience.
Once you get over the initial
culture shock of coming and working in India, you will
realize that helping the orphans in an orphanage will give you immense satisfaction and you will view life with a different perspective. A typical volunteer helping in an orphanage would help the children with their day to day activities such as: doing homework, making notes, playing with children, helping staff organize the orphanage, providing mental and physiological support, exchanging cultural views, teach them about health and hygiene.
There is no educational requirement for this project; anyone with a heart to help is welcome on this project! However proficiency in English is required.
What we provide
Airport Receive/ Transfer: Our representative will greet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel/placement/home stay.
Orientation: A half day orientation will be
provided by our staff. We cover areas like, culture,
greetings, locations, transportation etc. Each participant
will be provided with a local Map of the city or

week in Delhi
Lodging: Almost all placements have residential accommodation arrangements, however if that is not available volunteers will be staying with a local welcoming and educated family.
Food: 2 Indian meals will be provided in this project.
Insurance: All participants are covered for full comprehensive travel and medical insurance for their time of stay in our project. Please find details here.
In – Country travel assistance: If participants like to travel around, we provide with full support for bookings & arrangements to travel with India or Nepal.
Language Books: We provide participants with English to Hindi language handbooks.
In-country support: 24 hours support provided by our local staff.
Pre-departure information: After we receive full and final payment all participants are provided by a pre-departure information booklet by e-mail which will have all vital information about your program.
