Nepal is an enchanting land of splendid beauty, blessed with very friendly and hospitable people. It’s cities, specially capital Kathmandu abound with innocent children with cherubic faces, living in extreme poverty. So much is missing from their lives – food, security, health, love, education, four walls to call their own, where they can play and dream of better days and happier times.
Some organizations have come forward to provide a roof above the heads of these orphans and street children. They run orphanages, where they try to create a sense of belonging and secure spaces where dreaming is possible. They try to make the dreams come true. Simple dreams of warmth at night, of a hot cooked meal, of someone to dress a wound and hold a hand when it hurts and above all a future, for the future is what children represent.
Our ‘Work for Orphans’ program for volunteers is aimed at helping these organizations do more for these disadvantaged children. You can render invaluable help by giving them love and affection, teaching them basic conversational English, helping them in their school subjects, guiding them about personal hygiene and sanitation, taking them out on small excursions and engaging them in extra – curricular activities.
It would be an unforgettable and soul enriching experience for you which may compel you to return again and again to these orphans.

Volunteer’s life on the field
Once you get over the initial culture shock of coming and working in Nepal, you will realize that helping the orphans/women will give you immense satisfaction and you will view life with a different perspective. A typical volunteer helping in an orphanage would help the children with their day to day activities such as: doing homework, making notes, playing with children, helping staff organize the orphanage, providing mental and physiological support, exchanging cultural views, teach them about health and hygiene.

Educational Requirement
There is no educational requirement for this project; anyone with a heart to help is welcome on this project! However proficiency in English is required.
What we provide
Airport Receive/ Transfer: Our representative will greet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel/placement/home stay.
Orientation: A half day orientation will be provided by our staff. We cover areas like, culture, greetings, locations, transportation etc. Each participant will be provided with a local Map of the city.
Lodging: Almost all placements have residential accommodation arrangements, however if that is not available volunteers will be staying with a local welcoming and educated family.
Food: 2-3 Nepalese meals will be provided in this project.
Insurance: All participants are covered for full comprehensive travel and medical insurance for their time of stay in our project. Please find details here.
In – Country travel assistance: If participants like to travel around, we provide with full support for bookings & arrangements to travel with India or Nepal.
Language Books: We provide participants with English to Nepali language handbooks.
In-country support: 24 hours support provided by our local staff.
Pre-departure information: After we receive full and final payment all participants are provided by a pre-departure information booklet by e-mail which will have all vital information about your program.
