Volunteering Solutions Volunteer programs in Phnom Penh, in the heart of the city. Volunteer with children or adults in Teaching English, Agriculture and Women projects. We work with local grassroots community projects in all fields, be it Teaching English or working in an Orphanage. More and more volunteers are visiting Cambodia each year to help the community in need. Volunteers live in groups or in couple, with accommodation ranging from Volunteer homes to host families. Volunteers make a big impact on children and adults improving their understanding of English and helping them know more cultures and meeting new people. Often the local bodies working towards the upliftment of children and people in need are not funded by the government in Cambodia, which is where the volunteers help is needed. Money and manual help both are important for Cambodians.
Volunteer’s life on the field
| Once you get over the initial culture shock of coming and working in Cambodia, you will realize that helping the orphans, street children and women will give you immense satisfaction and you will view life with a different perspective. A typical volunteer helping in an orphanage would help the children with their day to day activities such as: doing homework, making notes, playing with children, helping staff organize the orphanage, providing mental and physiological support, exchanging cultural views, teach them about health and hygiene. |

Educational Requirement
There is no educational requirement for this project; anyone with a heart to help is welcome on this project! However proficiency in English is required.
What we provide
Airport Receive/ Transfer: Our representative will greet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel/placement/home stay.
Orientation: A week long orientation will be provided by our staff. We cover areas like, culture, greetings, locations, transportation etc. Each participant will be provided with a local Map of the city.*

Lodging: Almost all placements have residential accommodation arrangements, however if that is not available volunteers will be staying with a local welcoming and educated family.
Food: 3 local meals will be provided in this project.
Insurance: All participants are covered for full comprehensive travel and medical insurance for their time of stay in our project. Please find details here.
In – Country travel assistance: If participants like to travel around, we provide with full support for bookings & arrangements to travel within Cambodia.
In-country support: 24 hours support provided by our local staff.
Pre-departure information: After we receive full and final payment all participants are provided by a pre-departure information booklet by e-mail which will have all vital information about your program.

VOLUNTEERS JOINING TEACHING
ENGLISH FOR 12 WEEKS, NEED TO BOOK RETURN FLIGHTS AFTER
13 WEEKS AS ONE SEMESTER INCLUDES 1 WEEK OF HOLIDAYS.
VOLUNTEER WOULD ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR FOOD
DURING THE HOLIDAY PERIOD.
