Who we are

Volunteering Solutions has placed 25,000+ volunteers since 2007 and is a certified B Corp — our social accountability is independently audited. We’re the company on the other end of the line for the whole trip.

Safety, concretely

Before departure: vetted projects run with local partners we’ve worked with for over a decade, criminal background checks required of volunteers, a pre-departure briefing and a documentation checklist.
On arrival: met at the airport at designated times, orientation on day one, and a WhatsApp group with the in-country team.
Throughout: staffed support 6am–8pm local time, a 24/7 emergency line, and coordinators who live in the city your child is in.
If something goes wrong: an escalation path parents can use directly — a named contact at our head office, not a ticket queue.

Where they’ll live and eat

Shared volunteer houses or vetted homestays, with photos on every program page — the actual houses, not stock images. Three meals a day, with dietary needs accommodated. Private-room upgrades are available.

The money, without surprises

One displayed price, booking deposit included, covering everything on the ground. Interest-free instalments, with the balance due 45 days before departure. Financial protection on every booking. What’s not included is listed on every program page: flights, visa, insurance, vaccinations and spending money.

Questions worth asking any provider

Whoever your child travels with, ask: Is the total price published? Who exactly runs the project locally, and for how long have they worked together? Who answers overnight? Is the company independently accountable for its impact? Is your money protected if the company fails? We publish our answers on this page.
