Meet the Team @ Volunteering Solutions

The VolSol team comprises of people from different parts of the world, belonging to different backgrounds. As a team, we have evolved manifolds since 2006.  Meet some of the team members from the Volunteering Solutions’ HQ and program placement sites, who would guide you during the planning and pre-departure times, as well as at your volunteering destination.

LuniLuniBusiness Manager

Luni is responsible for designing business expansion plans and new opportunities in line with long-term growth strategy. Devising an effective marketing strategy and leading all online and offline marketing activities for the company. She loves food and is also an avid traveler and has travelled to over 25 countries.

SahilSahilHead of Operations

Sahil heads the program operations at Volunteering Solutions since 2008 and spends most of his time working in tandem with the project partners and staff all across the world.He has himself travelled across different program countries and is happy to answer any questions that volunteers have.

FluffyFluffyEmotional Support Officer

Fluffy is part of our London office helping us stay all cheered up, he is always ready for a cuddle 🙂

SaurabhSaurabhFounder

Saurabh is the Executive Director and Founder of Volunteering Solutions. Having travelled to more than 35 countries across Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and the Americas, he brings deep global insight to the organisation. After studying abroad for six years, he returned to India and worked closely with NGOs before founding the company in 2006. He continues to oversee operations worldwide and regularly visits programs to ensure volunteer satisfaction and quality.

ToddToddProgram Director – Chiang Mai

Todd is an American, who has lived in Thailand since 2002. He has extensive experience in teaching and working with volunteers. Todd has volunteered in Thailand and Kyrgyzstan and very well understands the needs and expectations of Volunteers coming to Thailand. He has been working with Volunteering Solutions since 2008.

JoeJoeProgram Director – Kenya

oe has been working with Volunteering Solutions since 2007. He holds a Masters in International Economic Law from University of Warwick. He coordinates all the arrangements for the volunteers in Kenya to ensure their safe and comfortable stay. He holds a considerable personal volunteering experience in Kenya.

NamrataNamrataOperations Coordinator

After completing her Bachelors in Sales & Advertising, Namrata stepped into the Corporate World.She has incredible experience of more than 15 years in Operation and Customer Service. A self-acclaimed shopaholic, Namrata loves to listen to music and can binge watch movies! She is one of the point of contacts for volunteers and inters for any operational queries.

JennyJennyCountry Director – Peru

Jenny is a native of Cusco and has also lived in Arequipa. She has over 20 years of experience dealing with international volunteers in Peru. Jenny has been working with Volunteering Solutions since 2008 and has hosted many happy volunteers in the beautiful country of Peru.

SharmilaSharmilaAssistant Coordinator – Nepal

Sarmila is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in Kathmandu. Passionate about community service, she has gained valuable experience through volunteering and internship opportunities focused on social development and child welfare.

TeTeProgram Coordinator – Phnom Penh

In social work, for more than 15 years, Te has held several positions with various national, international or consultancy firms. He has worked in several sectors of development works, social-enterprise,environmental management and many other areas. He is the main point of contact for the volunteers in the Cambodia programs.

UmaUmaProgram Director – Nepal

Uma is a resident of Kathmandu and has been the Country Director of Nepal Programs since 2007. She is also responsible for the management and running of the operations of an orphanage in Nepal. Uma takes care of 9 children, giving them education and a comfortable life. She looks forward to welcoming volunteers in Nepal.

KevinKevinProgram Manager – Cape Town

Kevin is the main point of contact for volunteers in Cape Town. He joined the team in 2013 after a year of teaching English abroad. Kevin loves working with young people from all over the world and teaching them about South Africa!

SamadSamadProgram Director – Morocco

Born in southern Morocco, Samad is a native speaker of Amazigh (Berber). He moved to Rabat over 20 years ago to pursue his studies, earning a BA in English Studies and an MA in Communication and Marketing. Since 2012, Samad has been actively involved in education, cultural exchange, and volunteering. In addition to his role as a volunteer coordinator, Samad also works as a high school English teacher.

QueQueProgram Director – Hanoi

Que is the Program director for Programs in Hanoi. She is very well travelled and has lots of experience working in the non profit sector. She looks forward to welcoming you to Vietnam along with her team.

FalikFalikOperations Manager – Sri Lanka

Falik heads the operations of the local team in Galle and makes sure that our volunteers and interns in Sri Lanka have a memorable stay in Galle.

AmitAmitProgram Director – Sri Lanka

Amit is the director of Sri Lanka program offering a range of sustainable volunteering programs across education, healthcare and animal welfare. His passions include travel, discovery, cultural exchange, sustainable development, environment preservation and helping communities in need.

RishadRishadProgram Coordinator – Sri Lanka

Rishad has vast experience of working with international volunteers and helps in coordinating their program and activities in Galle, Sri Lanka.

RajivRajivProgram Director – Delhi

Rajiv is a post graduate in English and a former lecturer in University. He has been working with International Volunteers for over 14 years now. He has vast experience and knowledge of working with over 2000 volunteers in India. He has vast knowledge of Indian culture and history and loves to share it with the volunteers.

ShankarShankarCoordinator – Delhi Program

Shankar hails from Nepal and has also lived in Malaysia and Qatar in the past. Along with assisting the volunteers in different tasks, he also plays the role of a hostel manager in one of the volunteer house accommodations in Delhi. He is always available for any assistance and support required by the volunteers doing their projects in Delhi.

MarkMarkProgram Coordinator – Arusha,Tanzania

Mark was born and raised in Arusha, Tanzania, and has a bachelor’s in Architecture. He has been devoted to helping children and families in Arusha for many years and is actively involved in local causes and development of projects.

AlethAlethProgram Coordinator – Philippines

Aleth is the main program coordinator working with the volunteers in the projects in Tacloban. He is a graduate of Asian Development Foundation College, holding a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He looks forward to meeting and working with international volunteers in the projects in Tacloban.
