Why is there a fee to volunteer?
Your fee covers your accommodation, meals, airport pickup, in-country support and a contribution to the project itself. We publish a clear breakdown so you always know where your money goes — and as a B Corp, we're held to account for it.
Who can volunteer with you?
Anyone aged 17+ (younger on selected family and high-school programmes). No prior experience or qualifications are needed for most projects — just enthusiasm and an open mind.
How far in advance should I book?
Most volunteers book 1–3 months ahead, but we accept applications up to a week before departure on many programmes. Booking early gives you the best choice of dates and projects.
Is it safe?
Safety is built into every programme: vetted accommodation, a 24/7 in-country coordinator, airport pickup and a thorough pre-departure briefing. We're a member of WYSE Travel Confederation and follow strict safeguarding standards.
Can I volunteer as a group?
Yes — we run tailored trips for university societies, schools, families and companies. Tell us your dates and goals and we'll design a programme around them.
