Overview
Volunteers work in rural areas or slums of Jaipur where nearly 85% of the population are village residents who moved to Jaipur in search of work. The adults work in factories of the neighborhood, domestic helpers in high class households and drive rickshaws (tuk-tuk ) so they leave the children alone to go to work, hence the children are highly vulnerable to child labor or domestic labor. To combat child labor and promote education in these area, volunteers work with government schools or NGO-run schools where English, Math’s, Sports teachers are highly needed. Volunteers bring fresh energy to the classroom through their non-formal education methods, incorporating games, activities, and interactive sessions that make the learning process enjoyable for children.
Our team works to improve education access for children of underprivileged communities and supports various slum & rural schools with teaching. Volunteers interested to join teaching program are mostly welcomed to bring a change in the social issues as education is the base of every solution.
Options of schools:
- Rural school within Jaipur
- Slum schools Missionary schools run on donations
- Social schools or private schools serving poor population
Our local team in Jaipur chooses the best match for the volunteer based on the skills the volunteer has.
