Volunteers on Bangkok Tour during 2 Week Special ProgramDAY 01 : WELCOME TO BANGKOK

HAPPY DAYS! It’s finally here… the day that you’ve been waiting for, and welcome to The Land of Smiles!  If you’re arriving at Bangkok international airport between 7am and 8pm on day 1 of your adventure, one of our expert local guides will be at the airport to meet you and to transfer with you to your first hotel located in the heart of bustling Chinatown so you can check-in, freshen-up and kick-off your tour in style.

This evening, for those lucky enough to have arrived in time, the group will head out to explore the local area and then on to a local restaurant for a welcome dinner – the perfect way to introduce you to the culture of this incredible country.

Meals Included: Dinner

DAY 02 : WALKING TOUR

So, the official ‘first day’ is finally here and to make sure that you have all the information you need to relax we’ll start today with a group chat - an orientation where we’ll run through each day in detail.

Following the meeting we’ll head off on a stroll through this incredible area of Bangkok. We’ll discover off-the-path locations, hidden temples, the River of Kings and experience the real day to day life of the locals here.

When we’ve pounded enough pavement, we’ll head back to the hotel, not on foot, but by traditional ‘tuk tuk’ – one of the must-do experiences ticked off the list.

Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

DAY 03 : CHIANG MAI

Today we’re heading north to the charming city of Chiang Mai. One of the oldest cities in Thailand, Chiang Mai is steeped in history at every turn. Surrounded by dense jungle, it’s also one of the most beautiful!

Our coach will depart Bangkok around 7:30am so that you can relax and sit back and watch as Thailand transforms from the concrete jungle of Bangkok to the genuine jungles of the north.

On arrival in Chiang Mai, we’ll take the quick transfer to our centrally located hotel to check-in and freshen up before we head out to explore.

Meals Included: Breakfast

Volunteering at Elephant Sanctuary in ThailandDAY 04 : ELE-PALS

As part of your trip, you’ll be dedicating some time to supporting the ongoing welfare of Thailand’s incredible elephant population through some work at one of our favourite projects. Located just an hour from the city, we’ll head into the jungle where on arrival, we’ll be introduced to the team, and of course, the elephants!

Once unpacked and organised, you’ll take a group tour of the project to learn more about how and why the elephants are here, and how our time supporting the project will help, not only in the short term, but with longevity and long after you’ve departed.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 05 – DAY 06: ELE-FUN

For the next 2 days as a group, you’ll be helping with any of the tasks that are needed to ensure the sustainability of the project and the ongoing welfare of the elephants. This can be any of several projects from repairing fencing and shelter, making and hiding treats to encourage elephant foraging, support the vet team, clearing ground to ensure everywhere is safe for the animals and more. The work will be decided for us by the team that has dedicated their lives to the support of the animals and can be directed by the weather and numerous other factors. You will be informed of exactly how you’ll be spending your time on arrival, but rest assured you’ll be spending a lot of time with the elephants!

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 07: BACK TO CHIANG MAI

Following breakfast, you’ll be finishing off the project work at the elephant camp before enjoying a final lunch, check-out from the accommodation and head back to Chiang Mai full of unforgettable memories and eager to keep on exploring.
Once back at the wonderful hotel, check-in and relax in the beautiful pool before having time to spend the evening doing whatever you want. Head into the beautiful town, or to the excellent night bazaar. The choice is yours.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

DAY 08: FREE DAY TO EXPLORE CHIANG MAI

After 7-days of being busy and working hard at the elephant camp today you have a free day to do as you please. Choose to do nothing, choose to join an activity – however you want to spend the day your guide will be with you to assist with anything that you need, to offer advice, help with transport and to make sure you have everything that you need to spend the day wisely.

Meals Included: Breakfast

DAY 09: BEACH TIME IN PHUKET

From north to south today, and we’re sure this is another day you’ve all been looking forward too. We started in a bustling metropolis, headed north to a beautiful traditional city, spent time in the jungle and now it’s time to hit the beaches of Phuket – Thailand’ biggest and best island destination!

You’ll take an early afternoon flight so that you have the morning to make sure you’re prepared.

On arrival in Phuket, you’ll be collected and transferred south – the most popular area thanks to the stunning beaches and excellent entertainment.

Meals Included: Breakfast

DAY 10: GUIDED CULTURAL TOUR OF PHUKET

Phuket is a fascinating island, steeped in culture, amazing food and wonderful locals. And to prove it, today you’ll be heading out on what we lovingly call the FAT Tour! Not the FAT that you’re probably thinking of, but the Food, Art, Town tour. You’ll take a deep-dive into the culture, visit some stunning locations, and get to try a belly-full of the local treats!

Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

DAY 11: FREE DAY IN PHUKET

As we don’t want you to be on Thailand’s number one island and not have chance to enjoy it at your own pace, today there’s nothing planned so that you can choose how to spend it. Spend the day at the beach, explore the town, hit the markets, bars and restaurants, or join one of the many island activities. Your guide will be around to help you choose and to offer any advice that you’re looking for. Make the most of as tomorrow, sadly, you’re heading back to Bangkok as this incredible adventure has almost come to an end.

DAY 13 : FREE DAY IN BANGKOK AND FAREWELL DINNER

We’re back! As the sunrises over the River of Kings you’ll be pulling into Bangkok refreshed and ready to spend our last day in the City of Angels. It’s then time to transfer back to our hotel to check-in for our final day. If there’s anything that you want to do today, perhaps some last-minute shopping for souvenirs, your guide will be happy to help. We recommend a quick trip on the underground train to the bustling Siam Square – one of the city’s most popular shopping areas. But whatever you do, be back to the hotel for 5pm as tonight is a final group dinner – the only way to finish off this incredible adventure!

Meals Included: Dinner
