When is the best time to volunteer in Madagascar?
April-November is the dry season and prime diving visibility; humpback whales pass July-September. December-March is cyclone season in the region — our team plans conservatively around it.
Visas and getting there
Madagascar issues visas on arrival to most nationalities (fee payable, typically up to 60-90 days). We brief you fully before you fly. Airport pickup is included in every program, and your in-country coordinator confirms arrival details before you fly.

Is it safe, and who can join?
Volunteers live in vetted accommodation with a coordinator on call around the clock, and every placement operates under our safeguarding policy. The minimum age is 17 for most placements with no upper limit — students, career-breakers, families and retirees all join our Madagascar programs.
